What to Expect

Our NRA Basic Pistol Class consists of both classroom, and hands-on live gun-fire training.

We'll spend a large portion of the day concentrating on the most important aspect of this training: SAFETY. We'll be focusing on the fundamentals of gun safety as taught by the NRA (see the list to the right). Students will also learn:

  • Pistols: Revolvers, Semi-Automatics, Basic Operation, Cleaning, Storing and Proper Transportation
  • Ammunition: Popular Cartridges, Proper Care and Storage of Ammunition
  • Gun Safety: Fundamentals, Range Safety
  • Shooting Fundamentals: Benchrest and Standing Positions, Improving and Maintaining Skills
  • How to Choose a Pistol

After the classroom work is completed, we'll move to the range. Here each student will have 1 on 1 instruction with Sean as you practice the skills you've just learned. You will have access to both a revolver and a semi-automatic pistol. As you progress you may even be able to use different caliber hand-guns.

After exemplifying the proper techniques in safe handling, loading, firing and unloading the pistols, you'll be awarded the course completion certificate.
